About Barri Viu
A free civic tool for understanding Barcelona's neighbourhoods through official data.
What it is
Barri Viu brings together Barcelona's open data and shows it neighbourhood by neighbourhood, so anyone can look it up without being a data expert. The aim is that talking about rent, income or tourism where you live means talking about real figures.
Free, with no ads
Looking up the data is free. There are no ads, we sell nothing, and no estate agency pays to appear anywhere.
Independent
Barri Viu is an independent project. It uses the open data published by Barcelona City Council, but it is not run by the council and does not speak for it.
What we do not do
We do not recommend neighbourhoods or score quality of life. We show the official figure and where it comes from; the judgement is the reader's.
Help us improve
If a figure looks wrong or something is missing, write to us through the contact link. Every report helps make the tool more useful.
